When Polyurethane? (Aesthetics)
For state-of-art design and close tolerances, traditional materials, such as metal work, polyester, and wood, require intensive and skilled labor. Being molded parts, RIM Polyurethanes have the same design capabilities of molded thermoplastics. From the aesthetic point of view, the main difference between molded plastics and RIM Polyurethanes is that polyurethanes need painted surfaces. The surface paints give an excellent quality: from mate to high gloss finishes, from standard two component paints to high standard automotive paints, the designer has great freedom due to RIM Polyurethanes' excellent adhesion to all paints. |
